Disaster Recovery

Disasters are an unfortunate reality for organizations and they must be ready to deal with them, they must have plans and processes in place to recover from any disaster. Data, hardware, software, systems are all vulnerable to negative events and these could lead to business failure. Organizations need to be prepared and have contingency plans to recover from any unmitigated disasters, these solutions range from replicated production data backed up to offsite locations, backup hardware, software fixes or reinstallation, and configuration of systems for remote work to ensure business continuity. Prolonged downtime could be disastrous for any organization, and could impact customers, revenue or damage to reputation none of which are favorable to the organization.

Disaster recovery refers to the process that organizations follow and implement to recover their data, infrastructure and systems after a man-made or natural disaster. A robust disaster recovery plan needs to be in place for an organization to be successful, staff need to be trained to implement the various plans and processes in the event of a disaster. A business continuity plan is the overaching umbrella of a complete disaster recovery plan, it ensures that personnel and assets are protected and are able to be up and running in the event of a disaster. We collaborate with our clients to make sure these plans are built out and tested, that staff are trained and often rehearse the steps in the recovery strategy. We work with our clients to align all components of the business continuity plan, to ensure a successful and timely recovery from any disaster.
